LOWREZJAM2020 is over, and with that, some major tweaking to address difficulty concerns and smooth out the gameplay.
GridHero v1.0.2 (August 25 2020)
- + New art for bombs. This better cues the direction they explode in.
- + New art for danger tiles. Better visibility.
- + Lock tiles reworked. Almost all locks are now selected from predetermined locations. Locks should no longer unintentionally isolate tiles.
- + Boss 3 (Evil Eye) minor rework. Overall difficulty is now easier.
- + Boss 5 (Demon King) minor rework. Overall difficulty is now easier.
- + Lock tiles’ animations are now twice as fast.
- + Bosses with larger battlefields now have a larger window for the player to dodge (0.5s to 0.8s).
- + Basic Gamepad support added.
- ~ Bosses can now lock varying amounts of tiles.
- ~ Reduced projectile's hitbox size.
- ~ Game window will no longer resize upon every map load.
- ~ Try Again menu during Normal mode will no longer sometimes require an extra click.
- ~ Aspect ratio is maintained after resizing window.
- ~ Normal mode is now the first playstyle when selecting.
